Rahul Gandhi did not name the name of Asthana in a tweet, without him being the favorite of the Prime Minister and Godhra is the famous face of the SIT. The CBI also told the weapon of politics.

After registering an FIR against Special Director Rakesh Asthana, Congress President Rahul Gandhi targeted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

Rahul Gandhi wrote in a tweet, "The PM's favorite, the Gujarat cadre officer, the Godhra SIT, who infiltrated the No. 2 post in the CBI, has now been caught in a bribery scandal. In the command of the current Prime Minister, the CBI has become the weapon of political rivalry. This institution is on a steady decline, which is fighting itself by itself. '

Significantly, the CBI has taken an unexpected step and registered an FIR against Rakesh Asthana for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs. 3 crore to rape a case.

Based on the complaint of Satish Sanaa, the CBI has registered a case against Special Director Asthana, Deputy Superintendent of Police Devender Kumar, Manoj Prasad, alleged intermediary Samesh Prasad and other unknown officials. A copy of the FIR in the case is with 'INDIA TODAY'. According to the official, the officer had taken a bribe of Rs. 3 crore to eliminate the case of Satish Sana, a businessman named Hyderabad, whose name was found in the case related to the investigation of Muit businessman Moin Qureshi.

After allegations of taking bribe of Rs 3 crore on Special Director Rakesh Asthana, now Asthana has complained to the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) against its own organization director Alok Verma. Asthana has alleged that Verma himself has taken a bribe of 2 crores, so allegations are being made against him for his protection. On the other hand, in a statement given by the CBI to 'INDIA TODAY', the allegations of Asthana are said to be false and baseless.

On the other hand, Asthana has filed a complaint against director Alok Verma on 19th October 2018 by writing the 'Top Secret' letter to the CVC. This letter from Asthana is with 'INDIA TODAY'. Asthana has written that in order to settle a case against Satish Sanaa, CBI Director Alok Verma took a bribe of Rs 2 crore. Sana has said in a complaint to the agency that Manoj Prasad and his brother Samesh Prasad disposed of one case with the help of Rakesh Asthana and in lieu of taking bribe of Rs. 3 crores. Asthana has said in his letter that Satish Sana gave Rs 2 crore to Alok Verma to stop the investigation against Moin Qureshi.

In the letter, Asthana also said that during interrogation in January, Satish Sana had admitted that it was recommended by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) CM Ram Ramesh to revive the case of Quraishi, after which Also met the CBI Director According to the letter, 'Information of the bribe given to Alok Verma by Satish Sanaa is given to the Cabinet Secretary 24.8. 2018. ' After that, the CVC ordered to hand over the related files while taking action.
